, in addition when bouncing in & out of O'Smach, Cambodia you'll pay 1,500 baht for the Cambodian visa (they will begrudgingly accept $30 USD for an Australian passport holder) and you'll be charged 300 baht for not staying overnight.
You can demand not to pay it, but, the entry stamp may end up anywhere in your passport.
It's not uncommon as the airline you're traveling with are responsible for your repatriation if you're denied entry in to the Kingdom. They're basically covering their arses in the event you're denied entry.
I have a 12 month multiple entry non immigrant O visa based on marriage to a Thai national. I extended my 'admitted until' stamp so as to avoid having to border bounce. The only extension available is 60 days based on my marriage. If I was attempting to extend a Tourist visa or a visa exempt entry, I would only receive a 30 day extension. I've not heard of a 90 day extension on a non immigrant O visa based on marriage.
The Kor Ror 3 is the marriage certificate issued with the flowery border & the Kor Ror 2 is the transcript of the Kor Ror 3 (evidence you are still married). There are a lot of steps involved in getting a non immigrant O visa based on marriage. It's best to contact your local Amphur 1st and ask what documents they require as what's required differs from Amphur to Amphur.
Thai technophobe, I encounter them daily. If it's anything other than Line, FB, Whatsapp or Tinder they're out of their depth. Kudos for your persistence & perseverance.
Cheers Tod. Korat office are hardcore when it comes to the TM30, which I've already lodged on my last entry, but, will bring another just in case. I'm flying out in October & it is more convenient (& cheaper) to do a 2 month extension for 1900 baht, than bounce in & out before I head down under in October. Thanks again for the sound advice.
