Update on application in Savannakhet, Laos 12 month non immi multiple entry O visa based on being married to a Thai national. Current as of 11/06/2019. Please be sure to have all your documents ready to avoid frustration & disappointment. The list of necessary documents have been mentioned on this forum enough without me having to list them again.
1. If applying on a Monday arrive early! The consulate opens its gates at 9am (not 8:30am as the sign outside the gate shows). I arrived at 6:30am & was 2nd in line.
2. All my required documents were in order & it's not necessary for your spouse to attend, however, unless you're fluent in Thai it helps in the event of unexpected questions.
3. Collection is the following day at 2pm, I arrived at 11:30am & was 6th in line. A few people learnt the lesson of arriving 'on time' on a Monday.
4. If you're missing a document, but, have an electronic copy, a print & copy shop directly across the road will print them & give you access to their Wifi connection for a reasonable cost.
5. Take a breath, this is important, anger will get you nowhere fast. I've witnessed this on several occasions.
