For those interested, Korat Immigration is open on Saturday from 9am until 12 noon. I went today and there was only one other foreigner there at 9:30am. I extended my 'admitted until' stamp on my multiple entry non-immi O visa (based on marriage to a Thai national) and was granted a further 60 days before I need to border bounce. Refreshments are available from a motorcycle vendor who is also there during the week. Now for the technical stuff, the list of documents required are as follows.....
Original Documents:
Passport
Marriage certificate (Kor Ror 2 & 3)
Wife's ID card
TM 6 (Departure Card)
TM 7 (Application for extension of stay)
TM 30 (Name is too bloody long to write the full title)
You will need signed copies of.....
Passport Biodata page (the page with your photo on it)
Visa page
'Admitted Until' stamp page
TM 6
TM 30
Rental contract signed by your landlord
Landlord's ID card with his/her signature
Ta Bien Baan of the rental property if it's not in the contract
Wife's ID card
Wife's Ta Bien Baan
Marriage certificates (both kor ror 2 & 3)
You can get photocopies done at immigration as well as the TM 7, however, I like to have all this done beforehand so I'm in & out as quick as possible. The staff were extremely friendly (even relaxed) which was a bonus, but, be aware Korat immigration is very strict when it comes to having all the aforementioned documents. Hope this is of some help to any & all group members using Korat immigration.
