You will not know this before you get approved or rejected, there is absolutely no rule they can ask extra info only once.

In your case it is likely they only checked the basics, and not the content yet.

Also notice "at least" , so it is not an advice to wait till 2 weeks before travel time, but a minimum time you should take into account, and I think applying for a 5 year visa is not something that just pops up out of the blue, so a bit of planning would not harm.

There is a reason most embassies advice you to apply 1-3 months before you plan to travel. Just take that advice and when it is faster you can consider that as positive.

Since the 500K is meant for emergency situations, they might as you how you plan to pay for the daily cost of living when you are unemployed.

Anonieme deelnemer I would not be to sure they will accept a cooking class for 6 lessons in 6 months for a DTV, they might also give you an METV as it is quite obvious you want to trick the system, and don't need the visa for the cooking class.

Realize that DTV is just a tourist visa, and not really a long stay visa. You have to do border runs at least every 180 days, and nobody knows how long that will be done as easy as it is now.

Anonieme deelnemer 857 Normally you do not have to show anything else, but IO always has the right to check if you still comply with visa requirements, so it might be a good idea to have everything available online, just in case...

I agree it sometimes is better to meet in person and not on Zoom or Teams, but when an urgent meeting appears instantly out of the blue, it should always be possible to attend digitally.

The fact that you want an official list shows you don't understand the process of visa application.

Wherever you are in the world, visa application process is not exact science.

There are basic rules, called requirements, and the rest is a process where humans decide and have to find out if they think the applicant should be accepted.

For this task they have guidelines, and authority to ask anything that might help them to decide.

It is strange that you were surprised by request for income docs.

On the official website is mentioned that all embassies might ask for additional information.

When you want to participate in soft power activitity for a long time, it would be normal you also have realized by yourself how you want to finance your stay in Thailand, so when asked for income documents, it should not be too difficult to show the way you plan to do.

seems quite logical to me, when you do soft power for longer time, how do you pay for living in Thailand?
