Not sure how bad the situation really is but this may become an issue for Soft Power DTV to show proof of being able to sustain oneself for 5 years in Thailand. And yes I am aware that there is no income requirement specified for the Soft Power DTV....yet!

I am an Australian, living in Thailand who is on Non-B and Work Permit. I am preparing to get the DTV visa.

I’ve been hired for a remote job from Australia but a legal team has briefly suggested that instead of going for the remote work DTV it’s better to go for the Soft Powet DTV. This is because they apparently need 6 months employment of new role.

Q’s

- Does anyone have any suggestions for the best DTV agents that are reasonably priced?

- In my position of recent remote employment, am I best to go with soft power or remote work?

- For someone in my position, is Jakarta, Vietnam, Lao or Taipei better?

Thanks guys !!

Hello, I am looking to apply for the Muay Thai soft power DTV. But it is not too clear what is needed in terms of documents. I will be applying from Taiwan, Taipei. Any input from someone who has done this track would be appreciated. 🙏

Hi everyone 👋

For those of you on the Soft Power DTV, about how many hours per week are you realistically training?

-Is your program on a fixed schedule, or do you buy a package of sessions/hours and book them flexibly?

-Any homework or attendance expectations?

I previously did a language-training visa in another country, and the 20 hours per week plus homework was too much to manage alongside full-time remote work and family, so I’m trying to understand how flexible DTV eligible training programs really are in practice.

Hi everyone, I’m planning to apply for the Soft Power DTV next month. I’ve found a Muay Thai gym offering a 9-month package and I meet the financial requirements of 500k.

Is there any indication that applying in Hanoi is currently easier than in HCMC? And is Laos a viable alternative to Vietnam?

I was rejected once in Austria 2-3 months ago with a different DTV option - at that time my application wasn’t very well prepared, I guess. Is that a potential deal breaker?

Thank you!😇

After the softpowerDTV is given, is there any timeframe you have to enter Thailand for the first time? Can i get my visa done allready now, and plan a trip in 2028?

GER-Frankfurt embassy (softpowerDTV page) states :

The visa application is possible at the earliest 90 days before the start of the trip to Thailand, as the single-entry visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue.

i cant find that information nowhere else, but still im not sure if its possible to apply and recieve it now, under current rules, with a planned trip in two years...

there is no flight nor accomondation information needed in the further visa process, only whats written on the embassy page, right?

thank you very much
