But you can stay pretty much back to back on tourist visas, which some people have been doing for years, legally at that, which DTV just takes it another step further and makes it easier.

I do wonder if you've heard of actual anything fraudulent? or it's the logical assumption for seeing apparently more people getting asked for more documents? like, anybody posting about not being approved at all for not qualifying? i mean it's not even that strict qualifiers

honestly what 'fraud' would it be if people can apply for the regular tourist visa? (which has little requirements beyond paying for the fee itself).

It's not like people couldn't already stay fairly long terms in Thailand.

I was in Thailand on regular tourist visas and I would use the 3 month to go around each time. Vietnam last time, and yes Laos the time before that.

I've only been in Thailand on tourist visas so it was always less than 90 days. Now I'm on the DTV.
