I don't understand the difference between a digital nomad and a remote worker. Either requires THB 500,000 and past payslips showing source of income. I believe another major criteria is that your company and clients are outside of thailand

Three years back, I was trying different financial companies for transferring funds. I did a transfer with Western Unon and it did not post as international transfer with my Thai bank.

the reason why many embassies stopped is Thailand requested that the income verification letters not just be notarized but that the information be verified. Many embassies decided to discontinue as a result.

can you share the Google search results that show only 2 visits a year. That has never been a stated policy, so either it is incorrect or you are misinterpreting the information. (Before the new visa policy landcrossings were limited to 2 per calendar year but air arrivals have never been restricted).
