There's a drop down menu when you use Transferwise for 'reason for transfer' If you select 'Long term visa' as the reason, when it arrives at Bangkok Bank it's always shown as FTT.
When you arrive within the validity of your visa (there could be one week, or one day remaining on it) you get stamped in for the relevant time that that visa allows. In the case of a Non-O that will be 90 days. It is the stamp you receive that governs your permitted length of stay, not the visa. The visa allows you to enter the Kingdom, the stamp you receive when you do shows how long you can stay before you either leave, or get an extension of that stay.
The ‘trauma’ of starting again is very similar to the ‘trauma’ of getting a new extension of stay every year. The only difference is you get a visa before you leave your country. Everything else is exactly the same.
June the 7th is a long way off. You should probably wait and see what happens. If the situation is the same as it is now by the end of May then look to do something about it. For now, just hold tight.
You can only do that by either physically being in the UK, or sending things to someone who is. Part of the procedure involves paying the Thai embassy with either cash, or a postal order. That's in normal circumstances. I'm not even sure if they are open at the moment. Plus it takes time.
You could try registering your marriage in Thailand (at the Amphur office). You will still need a translation and a MFA stamp (I'm not sure exactly how you would do that at the moment) but if you COULD get that done you could then register the foreign marriage at your local Amphur and get the คร. 2 to take to immigration.
Different parts of Phuket are on individual lockdown. No one allowed in or out of those specific areas. So commenting that Rawai is still on the island, implying that the lockdown doesn’t affect people’s ability to get to immigration, isn’t accurate or helpful.
