Hi...I'm applying for retirement non OA next month when I turn 50. I'm outside Thailand. Does the clock start ticking when this is granted at the embassy...or when I'm stamped in by immigration. I dont plan to travel until June so dont want to waste those precious months if I receive it in Feb! Thanks for the help.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The clock for the Thailand retirement non-OA visa starts ticking from the date the visa sticker is issued at the embassy, which is when you have a set period to enter Thailand. Upon entering, immigration will stamp your entry, granting you permission to stay for a duration that is usually tied to the validity of your health insurance, which can be up to one year.
