TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving in Thailand with a Non-O visa that has only one week left before expiry, travelers are granted a 90-day stay from the date of arrival. The validity of the visa itself does not limit your stay; instead, the stamp issued at passport control upon arrival determines how long you can remain in the country.

When you arrive within the validity of your visa (there could be one week, or one day remaining on it) you get stamped in for the relevant time that that visa allows. In the case of a Non-O that will be 90 days. It is the stamp you receive that governs your permitted length of stay, not the visa. The visa allows you to enter the Kingdom, the stamp you receive when you do shows how long you can stay before you either leave, or get an extension of that stay.
hi James.. yes Iβm married but work offshore so always in past came in with under the 30 day exemption . I have been out of country since April and have acquired a non o visa which is valid up to the 8th of December. I got this when on rest period from work in the uk. I have since Returned offshore and will be here until the 25 th November. So obviously allowing for ceo approval I may try to get back etc. I was just not 100% on the valid period on Visa and if 90 start when you arrive. This has been answered below . Thanks for asking relevant questions. Cheers π
