I've just completed an online application for a Single Entry Tourist Visa from the Thai embassy in London (big thanks to all those who have posted here about how to navigate the online application system) and I have a couple of questions for those who have successfully applied for this visa from London.
I've got copies of all the documents I uploaded to take with me to the appointment tomorrow, but I'm not sure if they would want, or accept, additional paperwork.
The application asked for proof of funds/income and I uploaded my last available payslip (after much faffing around getting the file size acceptable). I was wondering if this will be enough, or should I also take some additional proof like bank statements with me to the appointment?
I couldn't see an option to upload multiple documents for each section, and if I'd scanned them all to one pdf file it would have been too large anyway.
Also, we're travelling to Bangkok, staying one night there, then going up to our home in Chiang Rai. Again, there was only the option of uploading one file for proof of accommodation, so I used the hotel booking voucher.
Will that be enough, or will they want a letter of invitation from my wife that covers the rest of the month?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has completed an online application for a Single Entry Tourist Visa from the Thai embassy in London and is unsure if additional documents should be brought to the appointment. They are particularly concerned about proof of funds and accommodation. Comments suggest that typically only the documents uploaded with the application are required, but some recommend bringing additional paperwork. One user confirmed they were required to provide a bank statement showing a minimum balance of £500, in addition to proof of accommodation.
