If you apply at an embassy that requires 3-6 months of seasoning, then you will be rejected. There are embassies that approve on just the final balance of 500K.
Anonymous participant I see the responses, Taiwan is ok but you just need to be really on point with your paperwork especially the financial docs. Australia is 'friendlier' so it is a good option if you going to be there. Also SEA like Indonesia , Vietnam, are great.
You are fine via the freelance route. Similar applicants to yourself have been approved. Choose a 'friendly' embassy, as mentioned ..add Jakarta to that list.
Taiwan did not have a seasoning requirement for the 500k when I applied You should double check it is still the same. Taiwan does approve quickly 1- 3 days if no further docs are required and if you are given a prompt interview. Note if she is applying for Softpower in Taipei they require the same employment docs as Workcation. You can email them for questions you have, they are responsive, or they were when I emailed. You get no refund for not continuing your application.
Things have changed but it is inevitable with the huge increase in foreigners now living in Thailand. Get yourself a back up account with WISE etc just in case your account is closed
