Today I had an interview in Jakarta. I flew from Bali to Jakarta, and I don’t know yet if I will be approved. I have already shown my monthly income as a digital nomad, my business certificate in Bali, and some of my passive income in Bali. I have been renting a condo in Bangkok for one year, and even though I am currently in Indonesia, I still pay 22,000 Baht per month.

I didn’t know about the DTV visa before. I had been in Bangkok for one month in December, then returned in January. Immigration told me that if I didn’t get the visa, I wouldn’t be allowed to enter Bangkok again.

I have a business in Bali and I always circulate my money. But during the interview, they focused only on the 300,000 Baht I had in January. They seemed not to consider the 800,000 Baht I had over the last six months. Then they asked me to open my accounts. I didn’t expect them to focus so much on the 500,000 Baht. I only showed two accounts, not including my savings. I don’t understand why they are like this.

Now I’m just waiting for the result. I feel quite sad because I don’t understand why they focus on the 500,000 Baht from January. I applied in March with three accounts, totaling 500,000 Baht.

I still don’t know whether I will be approved or not

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual recently had an interview for a DTV visa in Jakarta but is uncertain about the approval due to the scrutiny of their bank balances. They highlighted their monthly income as a digital nomad, business activities in Bali, and ongoing living expenses in Thailand. However, during the interview, the focus was heavily on their January bank balance of 300,000 Baht despite the applicant having more than 800,000 Baht over the previous six months. Comments from the community stressed that applicants must show at least 500,000 Baht in personal accounts for three consecutive months, indicating that the applicant may have not met all expectations during their interview with regard to demonstrating financial stability.

yes it's not unusual to be asked to show your online banking in an interview to check the money remains in your account. If you only had 300k baht in your accounts in January (which is what I understand from what's quite a confusing post) and they require 3 months with 500k minimum then I don't see how they will issue the visa. Why did you not show your savings account with all the required funds in it? It's normally a savings account they want to see

You need to show 500k in your account for each of the last three months (Jan, Feb and March). Needs to be in personal bank accounts, not buisness accounts

It is April, so the last 3 months are March, February and January.

You have to show 3 months bank statements with a minimum of 500.000 Thb,

I understand all explain different, some will say 1 day more than 500.000 thb is enough, some will say you are even allowed to divide the 500.000 Thb with every one you know,

some will say, it is a minimum of 500.000 Thb on each and every day during these last 3 months.

Why they look at 300.000 Thb in January, as it is less than mentioned on the website

You might have explained them why, so now fingers crossed.

It js normal to be asked to show your bank account in an interview. You had a sudden/unusual deposit of 300THB in January?

ok so that is fine to show 2 accounts with 500k. They just to want to make sure you have the 500k as your application showed. You should be ok.

They want to see the 500k mostly. Your 500k should be in savings account. You showed the 500k in business accounts?

That is normal to show from your online banking as it is further confirmation of your funds.
