like I say, you were not there and I did not misunderstand what the checkin staff told me. It was simple, direct and clear with no room for misunderstanding. Unlike you and your reading of my post.

at least in my country there will be one rule and everyone knows the rules whereas in Thsiland the rules are different depending on who you ask and in which department of an embassy or immigration office people work. Even staff sat in the same office can have different answers to simple questions. Plus we will go out of our way to address someone in their first language and not hide behind things being list in translation. Common sense really.

wow. Visa exemption for retirement or when you need a tourist visa. Who knew?? And all the other visas can be bypassed by an exemption stamp on arrival? Well well.
