if my Thai friend has no tenancy/rental agreement document then how can I upload it as part of the invitation letter? They are not the property owner so have no house registration document.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers on concerns regarding obtaining an invitation letter for a visa to Thailand when the Thai friend cannot provide a tenancy or rental agreement. Suggestions include alternative proof of residence, such as having the friend write an invitation letter including their address. Some participants point out the possibility of entering Thailand visa-exempt for 60 days, while others express skepticism about the situation, questioning the absence of a tenancy agreement. Overall, the conversation reveals a mix of solutions and varied opinions on dealing with Thai immigration procedures.

Your friend writes an invitation to stay at the home, showing their address and TM30 as proof they live there, not difficult by email is ok
why did you need to be so unpleasant with someone trying to help you? How would they know that your friend did not get a TM30 filed? No need to be dismissive in every reply of yours to people trying to help you.

what you mean is you can't be bothered with Thai procedures.
well obviously I can be bothered. That is why I completed the evisa application. What I am also free to do is report and reflect on the realities and mock people who melt when I do that.
Last December I got a Thai friend whose house I would be staying at for thirty days to email an invitation letter for the attention of the Embassy. I attached it in the e-visa Portal. Got the visa. Because it'd been a long time ago that I was last in Thailand, when you were given an immigration card to fill in on your flight,a TM7 I think it was, which are no more required, I wasn't aware that you had to report to immigration where you would be staying until a chance meeting with two immigration police in a coffee shop, who asked my address I was staying at. Anyway he checked with his immigration office and they didn't have a, is it TM 30 about where I was staying, so they told me to go to immigration with my friend, which we did. I took my passport and my friend spoke to immigration, who asked for there ID card. My friend showed his ID card and with my passport all was solved and no fine as some people suggest you get. Also I thought because my visa application was in the Embassy computer system, I presumed immigration would be able to access that info., but obviously not.
Plonker comes to mind. And a rude one at that. So rude, I wonder if you're suited to living in Thailand. I sincerely hope you learn both patience and humility quickly, because you're not showing enough of either so far
I too am British (not proud of it) and have had many visa exemption stamps on arrival. I was told by Trang immigration that the best way for me to make my retirement visa was to convert it from a tourist visa when within Thsiland. There are also many other reasons why prople may opt for a tourist visa rather than a visa exemption stamp. But I won't spoil your fun by explaining it all to you when you can busy yourself by conducting your own fact finding. Originally I was applying for a retirement visa but because Bangkok Bank will not issue a statement to anyone who is outside Thailand who has not previously added their account with the 800,000 baht in to the bank's app I am returning on a tourist visa. The advice being that they can be reluctant to repeatedly give exemption stamps too many times in a 12 month period. Common knowledge apparently.

Who doesn't have a tenancy agreement? 🤔 Sounds dodgy to me (and to the immigration as well)
well zi just bypassed it all and showed how pointless their system is by booking a hotel which I can cancel later. I was just highlighting the farcical nature of how things work here at times and if people are going to try and milk you like a cash cow then just be honest about it. Pretending it is reasonable is not ok. IMO
he's being rude to everyone. Thought he wanted invitation letter for tourist visa for 60 day stay. But now he's in a hotel to get a TM30 so not sure what he wants if he's already in Thailand.
Yes. I do. We do them for people in my property. Perhaps if you explain what exactly you're trying to do: are you applying for a tourist visa and need an invitation letter. If so why you are booked into a hotel in Thailand to get a TM 30 if you aren't in the country. Your posts are just muddled and unclear. Which means people are "guessing" to try and answer you.
where I am and what I am doing is not really the issue and it is not important for you to know all the details which can change as plans change. What does not change is the requirement in multiple visa application processes for an invitation letter if you plan to stay with family or friends. However what if they do not fit into the box that immigration like to think everyone exists in?
I lived here over 20 years and don't have problems like you, everything can be resolved with a little patience, nothing to do with cash cows! Your friend has no lease, guess cause it's all cash and so owner not paying tax, you don't declare TM30 either I guess as would need owners details. So if that's how you operate best of luck
if he'd explain what he's doing he'd get better answers. Now looks like he's applying for an evisa, his "friend" has to invite him. . He's booked a hotel for tm30, so I thought he was in Thailand, but no, it's for his "friend". 🤦
lots of Thai’s don’t know anything about an TM30 I came to Thailand for 13yrs and the people I new and stayed with often ,didn’t now anything about it, found out quickly when I wanted to extend my stay.
