โทมัส ทอม เฟรย์ You can stay in Thailand for 360 days at a time, cross a border and come back, and stay for another 360. You can keep doing this until the end of the visa.

Graham Lynch Correct. This visa can't be used to stay in Thailand for 5 years straight, without leaving the country after 360 days.

You can also apply for a 60 day visiting family extension, if married or children. If only partner....so luck. Would have to leave and come back again if the time runs out.

Not wrong at all. A visa issued from a consulate abroad can't be transferred to another passport.

Nothing. A visa can't be transferred. Keep a hold of both passports. If you get an extension of stay, you can get the extension stamp transferred.
