Can I submit copies of documents for the Thai child visa (NON O) extension, or do I need to provide originals?

I have seen posts regarding the child visa (NON O) and also the 60 day extension for thai child. The required documents were listed previously. One question....can they be copies of the documents? or will they want to see all originals in person? Also if copies...do they have to be certified or signed by thai partner?? I ask because the blue book is up North. Thanks im advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses the submission of documents for the Thai child visa (NON O). The inquirer asks whether copies of required documents are sufficient or if originals must be presented in person. A comment clarifies that original documents with an official seal are accepted, suggesting that copies might be sufficient if they meet certain criteria.

The Blue book should remain with the Housemaster, not sure what you mean about the separation. Any original documents which have an official seal are accepted. All documents are signed by the recipients, for example mine are and my wife's are.

The usual documents (birth cert, child tabien ban, wife id + tabien ban, tm30, passport + copies) worked. Got my extension received in good order. Good luck mate

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I need the originals to make it easy and also the original child ;) I will sort something else out for now and get it done when they are both back. Many thanks.

Oh ya. As for the tabien ban, we got the "certified original certificate" from the nearest district office. Go in with the Thai birth certificate/ID card, and you can get it. Its acceptable.

@Ke***
, GOOD point (y)

they won't give you an extension without one ;)

Just like when you apply for an extension of stay based on marriage your wife has to be there too.

I also think the child needs to be with you.... I went to do it a few weeks back and they specifically said the child needs to be with me.....

Sorry I misread, I thought the OP said "and also the 60 day extension for thai child." I need to take my LEO glasses off :P

, Umm you don't need a translation center to transcribe anything, they're in thai already.

You can try to get Coloured Copies (I mean because of stamps) emailed down, I understand the originals are up north, and get a translation centre to do transcribe them, but, some Thai Government Institutions and Embassies require the originals. Are you not in a position to get the originals sent down by EMS ? just 2 days waiting maximum

Oh sorry. Yes the blue book for the house where the baby is registered is in Sakon Nahkon as missus and baby are there for a while. So I was wondering if she can take a copy and send it to me in Pattaya...as I don't want to send the original in the mail. So can copies of all the required docs be used without showing the originals..? and do they need official verifications....or can she just sign them..? Or do all original documents need to be shown. ie at present I do not have her ID, the blue book, the birth cert, etc....as all with her....she won't be back for a while and I need to extend soon.
