just retired after 40 years here. The ridiculous retiring requirements have encouraged me to look at Thailand. Probably Phuket.

Malaysia? RM1 million in the bank and RM40K a month (THB350,000) a month coming in. They are in cloud gagah land.

Nightmare. I once thought I’d thrown my passport away and was flying to 🇬🇧 next day. I went into the skip which was crawling with maggots. Found it later in my briefcase.

Are alternate 3 month gaps acceptable? Im thinking 3 months in Malaysia and 3 in Thailand. Alternate. So a foot in both camps. Two 3 month stints in Phuket each year. With a retirement visa in one (not sure which yet, as they are still messing around with MM2H)
