I applied for DTV through the Royal Thai Embassy in London UK using my Philippines passport (Im a UK permanent resident) and Im waiting for the result.

My UK naturalisation came through today so I will soon have a British passport.

Will it be a problem for me if I enter Thailand with my approved (fingers crossed) DTV on my Philippine passport using my new British passport?

When applying for an e-visa, do you have to choose the consulate of the country where your passport belongs? For example, if I have a British passport, can I apply for a Malaysian consulate for visa processing?

However, I now have a different question regarding my granddaughter who holds both British and Thai passport.

My son lives in Thailand on a work visa, he has 50% custody of my granddaughter. Part of the custody agreement allows my son (and us as grandparents) to take our granddaughter out the country on holiday for 2 weeks per year.

We must give 14 days notice, I have given over a month.

The issue is my granddaughters Thai passport needs renewed, my Thai ex daughter- in law is making excuses not to renew it. My son however renewed my granddaughters British passport last month.

We want to take our granddaughter on holiday for 4 days. Will there be any issues if we use her British passport to leave and enter Thailand? I will have the custody document in both Thai and English plus the agreed travel insurance and medical approval.

Has anyone successfully applied for a DTV whilst outside of their home country? We are currently between Malaysia/Indonesia and want to apply with British passports, but not sure if there’s a nearby embassy we can apply to.

DTV for a British passport holder whilst currently in Thailand.

Apparently a short trip to Laos is all that is needed. However, others are now saying it must be applied for whilst in Europe.

Can anyone please advise?

British Passport Bangkok.. I need to renew my passport using VFS in Bangkok. Can I still use hotel as proof of address? Does my hotel booking need to be for the entire time it will take to get a new passport? or just for a week or so? Can you still check into hotels while it is being renewed? Thanks for the help.
