yes they can ,I'm on visa waiver and Bangkok bank would give me a account no problem ,with 500 opening deposit ,699 for visa card and 5900 insurance ,just show passport ,resident certificate and my Thai driving licence ,so they will do it but insist on the insurance ,not sure why that's needed ?
Jakarta has the world's worst air pollution and very unfriendly fantical religious locals ,so best avoided if possible for one of the other Asian options 🙏🏽

some years back it went to 15:days by land and 30 by air ,as I lived in Cambodia for 14 yrs and I remember it well ,it happened a few times as it often changes ,not fantasy ,fact 😜
Valid question as over past years this has changed a lot and often was only 15 days by land when it was 30 days by air ,but now it's the same 60 days by land or air ,but land can only do twice in a calendar year 🙏🏽
