We've actually done that previously and don't particularly want to visit Cambodia again, this time.( We have been a few times before and loved it). But we also don't want to have to drive to BKK. This sounded a bit different and interesting but like I said, if it doesn't work out we have allowed ourselves enough time to go to Malaysia. Thank you.

We're definitely going to try this - a bit of a drive from Hua Hin but we are looking forward to seeing parts of Thailand that we haven't seen before. My final Q is this,: I have been searching online for a list of the docs we need to have with us. I have read lots of interesting anecdotal stories but nothing particularly current . As far as I can make out, I should have the following docs with me; passport, proof of flight home,thb and $10-20 dollars? Obviously we'll need cash for the ferry and we also have our Covid certificates. Is there anything else we should have with us? We also have extra photos and copies of our passports and our proof of residence in HH. Do you think that will be enough? I know it's a long drive, but it's a little birthday trip for me. If for any reason it doesn't work,we still have time to drive to Malaysia,but we'd honestly prefer not to. Thank you again for your help and advice. 😁
