I thought so too, and was trying to arrange transport for early tomorrow for a taxi from our hotel to immigration . We were quoted the price of 2600 thb each for the whole service - taxi/ immigration / boat/ visa stamp but when I said that it had to be for 60 days, reception got the agent to ring me direct. I explained about the METV etc and have sent her pics of our passports. But I have heard nothing at all since and starting to think we need a plan B. I honestly thought I'd researched this thoroughly but beginning to think we're going to have to make an even longer drive to Malaysia. But we want to make sure we get to the right place and make an appointment if necessary. Thank you.

it's not a local extension . We're leaving Thailand, entering Myanmar then returning to Thailand and hopefully get another 60 days, which was what I thought happened with an METV.

that's what I thought/ understood. We arrived in November and extended at the end of December in Bluport, for 30 days. So we are now trying to leave Thailand ( go to Myanmar ) and re-enter to get stamped in for another 60 days. But it doesn't look like it's going to be possible at the moment... and I don't understand why.

Yes. I assumed that they wouldn't but we had ours issued on a Sunday.
