If this is indeed "printed in the Royal Gazette" it can be counted as a step backward for the retirement visa. Why should they care whether your income deposits are from a pension, rentals, dividends or a forken circus?! What could be the motivation for this change?

Yeah, that was poorly stated. I was reacting to this from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles website: "6. Itinerary showing flight from U.S. to Thailand and flight out of Thailand."
So these ppl just ignore the 90 reporting requirement and then get fined 2k for the pleasure year after year, no consequence. I would think anything involving a fine could make trouble at some point.
