They will try to storm through this outbreak but I would be cautious to government dialogue and tone before proceeding. That said I am hoping to go soon. You can transfer through Singapore to Phuket last I checked

Some people recommend you to look if they have FB messenger. Some embassy seems easier to contact that way.

Looking at the current development in the world and how they previously acted I don't think you will be forced to leave. Just make sure you have an exit strategy for that just in case. Yepp don't expect but plan for it.

I think it depends on what country you are in. WU is really expensive and bad rates here but if I need to ensure direct transfer not that many choices... Remittance seems to be done by some here due to high amount of guest workers by small actors so I would not limit myself to the big ones if you really after best rate/fee.

Personally I use Wise but might have to compare again soon just feel it is so convenient. I also use their card for better rates abroad.
