Anonymous participant I got my DTV based on a single appointment with neurosurgeon. Applied in Jakarta. Also spine issues, and under ongoing treatment in Bangkok.
Depending on where you apply, you should have plenty documentation for DTV on medical grounds.
The medical certificate also makes opening a Bank account waaaaaay easier
simply because they prioritize people applying within 3 months of their intended travel. And well, simply because they say so. It’s Thailand, it’s not all meant to make sense 🤷🏻♂️
That “should apply within 3 months” statement is used for pretty much all visas. It’s a generic/general thing. Its DTV that is unusual with its 5 years validity.
You should state a intended arrival day within 3 months from when you apply. But you don’t have to honor that. After you got the visa it doesn’t matter. 5 years as many already mentioned
so you don’t think its easier to pay your rent, MEA electricity bill, water bill, internet bill, phone bill, top up rabbit/truemoney and much more with a bank account?
Not to mention QR payments and no foreign card atm fee?
