i recently got my DTV from Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. although I had strong credentials through a legal business entity in USA and strong work experience, they were quite tough. I was asked to provide addtional information twice, altogether took about 10 days
Got refused in Paris embassy after ~ 26 days for a Typo mistake ( !! my own issue !!) in the serial number of Passport

It take around 8 workings days for the full process if you remove new year week and week end( where whole country is shut down for vacation / family meeting ).
So far, I am pretty impressed :
I haven’t used an agent, so documentation sent was pretty messy, not translated.
They asked for all mandatory informations again and again, with proper translation, but even if documentation provided by my side were messy, they always answered under 5 workings days. ( as it’s written on the embassy website )
If need to compare to Paris embassy, where it taken up to 26 days, just to get an answer.
Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for DTV (Remote Work stream) in early September. Does anyone have recent experience applying from nearby countries like Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, or Malaysia — especially as a Chinese passport holder? Would love to hear which embassy was easiest to deal with and had the fastest turnaround. Thanks in advance!
Hello, my visa got approved (tokyo embassy) but i got the 6 months visa instead of the DTV. Can i do anything to fix that or did i just loose money and i need to wait 6 month to apply for the DTV again and praying again ?
UPDATE: I went to the embassy I told them that I had a problem with my visa they didn’t care and told me to make a phone call. The phone number for visa is available only from 4:30PM to 5:30PM wtf is wrong with them ?
Who from the United States has applied for their DTV visa through the e visa website from the US? How long did it take for your application to process? TIA 🙏🏼
