Hi Guys I entered on DTV last month.

I am already staying in Thailand for 1 month and going to extend my vacation for more 2 months. I heard we have to do reporting if we are staying more than 90 days.

Let me know if I have to do 90 days reporting and whats the process? 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on a DTV visa and plans to extend their stay for an additional two months. They inquire about the 90-day reporting requirement associated with long-term stays. Several commenters confirm that a 90-day report is necessary if staying for 90 consecutive days. The process involves visiting the immigration office with a TM30 form, and it is also noted that this can be done online if previous in-person reporting has been completed. Users express confusion about whether the original poster is on a DTV visa since that typically allows for a 180-day stay without needing additional extensions.

What about reporting online (instead of going to an immigration office) in OP’s case?

its not possible, maximum for this is 2k baht even if you dont report for decades ... And its only if you go to immigrations, while you are with DTV, you dont have to go there, just bounce out and back in...

They have no way to collect the fine, unless you visit them and on DTV you dont have to visit them for over 5 years. Even if they keep any records, long therm visas are taken out of the country anyway, so this fine even if its enforced to be paid will be after many, many years and its not sure if its going to be on the record anyway. So bothering with it on DTV is waste of time in my eyes.

Next time you go to Immigration for an extension for example, you will not get it without paying the fine

most of the ppl with DTV dont go anyway, because its easier just to bounce out. So basically for those 5 years you wont have any encounter with immigrations at all to make you pay it.

Yes you have to do a 90 day report when staying 90 consecutive days. Any time you leave Thailand the counter resets.

Wrong again.

Every time you spend 90 consecutive days in Thailand, you have to report.

what hat did you pull that out of. You most definitely have to submit TM47 aka 90 days report on DTV. I can attest to that having done it personally and gotten the requirement verified by immigration.

Any visa except LTR requires TM47 when staying longer than 90 days….

wrong.

If you stay more than 90 consecutive days, you need to go to Immigration to do a 90 Day report.

Bring your passport and latest TM30 to your local Immigration.

for more than 90 days its tm47 right?

Tm30 needs to be done by landlord

Correct me if i am wrong?

Yes.

The 90 day report is the TM47.

The TM30 is the landlords responsibility, but if it is not done you may have to pay a fine.

TM 30 will be given by Airbnb?

- I would expect that you need to contact your Air BnB host regarding filling out a TM30. Nothing to do with Air BnB themselves. You have the ability to message them from within the app.

What? DTV gives you 180 days. There is no 60 day extension nor would you need one for staying 180 days. It doesn't sound like you have any DTV.

yes you have to report 90 days. You make sure to get a copy of the TM30 from your accommodation.

Bring that and your passport to your local immigration office depending on where you are staying.

You can do it two weeks before to one week after the 90 days is due.

It’s fairly straightforward and usually quickly done

Well you don't need a TM30 to report a 90 days stay. 2 totally different animals!

as graham said, earliest two weeks before. And no, you don’t have to pay. If your Airbnb is of the legal kind, they are obliged to have already submitted it when you checked in. You just need to get a copy/proof from landlord

pretty much, but you need a copy of the TM30 registration from your landlord.

If your Airbnb is of the illegal kind (under 30 days), you can do one night at a hotel to get a tm30.

any time anyone is in Thailand for 90 consecutive days they file a 90 day report. The visa doesn't matter. You would do it at your local immigration office with your passport and a copy of your TM30 filed by your hotel or landlord.

what does not make sense for you? She has DTV, simply asking if and how to do a 90 day report. Which she is supposed to do.

She was merely saying she extended the length of the trip, not the visa. Not rocket science
