The documents you supplied are not the documents they are requesting. They don’t need to company’ social insurance, etc. they want to see money going into your private bank account that aligns with payment receipts from your business - paying yourself
Pauline Rogers - Completely understand the concern, but you have a pressing issue that will impact you in the next few days versus a potential issue 7+ months from now. My understanding however is concern when you stay 150+ days in a year, as they see that as a sign of trying to live here. You are not though and next trip would show evidence why you stayed longer (cancelations, etc.)
Why not take a cheap flight to a neighboring country (or car/van/bus) and then return? It would reset your stamp to 60 days. It would reduce some of the pressure of being worried that your next flight might also be canceled and you might be overstaying again. Odds are it will be canceled.
Svenja Müller The rule is that you are supposed to stay within the jurisdiction where you are applying. This is why sometimes the embassy/consulate in Vietnam reaches out and asked for the applicant to buy sometime and take a photo of the receipt with the current date on it, as a means to verify they are still in Vietnam. However, they don’t ask this of everyone and some applicants have gone back to Thailand and gotten away without being caught. However, check out the DTV Facebook page. There have been applicants forced to fly back to the U.K. if they wanted to complete their application, etc. Hanoi is one of the fastest locations. You should be hearing soon (5-10 days). Not sure it is worth the risk when you only have to wait a few more days
What type of company you work for? What is the company’s annual profit? There are strict requirements related to this, if you want to apply this route. I was rejected because the company I worked for was neither private nor publicly traded, but did meet the income/profit requirements.
Sylvia Corley this actually might be a good idea. Instead of Gavin her apply under the “dependent” category, if she needs continued medical treatment while in Thailand and you can present a course of medical treatment/appointments under a doctor, you could apply for her under the medical category of the DTV.
