A Tm47 is a 90 day report. This is not a new process. Every foreigner (except new 10 year LTR) must do a 90 day report.

I wouldn't. The reason why is there are charges Euros to THB and back again. I would set your budgets of what you bring in cash and what you are going to spend on the card. If for any reason you go over the budget you can add to your Wise account from Thailand.

If you do underspend then you can then convert the money back. I am struggling with the concept of not spending my budget. In 27 years of visiting Thailand the most I ever managed was to keep a couple of thousand Baht for my airport taxi and first day of my next trip. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

sounds like you will be fine. My experience of government offices in Thailand is that things stay largely the same until there is a change in personel at the top or a change in the law. The latter is unlikely to happen anytime soon in conversation of visas.

If it isn't then a trip to Savannakhet is not that far from Kalasin. A beautiful part of the Kingdom I will add.

These are general requirements. They cover more than just the marriage visa. If your wife doesn't have a passport then obviously you can't provide a copy.

my advice would be to bring cash and use your Wise card for purchases. With purchases there is no fee and you can take advantage of Wiseโ€™s excellent exchange rate.

@Kay *****
the 220 Baht is an ATM fee charged on all cards. It is not a charge by your bank or specifically to you, Wise.

You may also consider applying for a Non Immigrant O visa in your own country prior to coming back.

I have personal experience of a friend who experienced this exact situation. He is now planning on a trip to Savannakhet.
