Had an interesting experience at Jomtien Immigration Office this morning. I was there applying for my yearly extension of stay based on marriage. Handed over the wad of paperwork to the lady at desk 6 that deals with Thai family. After checking all the financials and marriage documents she homes in on the family photos. She spoke to my wife and returned all the documents and rejected our application. Apparently my wife was inappropriately dressed for a visa application in the photos. We were both wearing shorts and T-shirts. All three previous extensions had been granted with the exact same photos. So we had to return to our condo and get a fresh set of photos taken and printed and then back to Immigration to resubmit our application. Eventually we walked out of the Office at 1pm with the under consideration stamp in my passport. The Immigration Officer who rejected the photos was the same Officer who had previously accepted them. Go figure....
hi - I am a bit worried now. Yesterday I did my 2nd tm47 online and today I see a mail from immigration saying : your application for staying longer than 90 days has been rejected
and : please contact the nearest immigration office immediately in person.
That doesn't sound good.
Any guesses? I have done nothing not been involved with police or anything.
I would like to know if it is possible to get a 3 months visa extension on a 5 years elite visa at my local immigration office (Rayong) or if I have to go to Bangkok office. I'm asking because I've got different answers from the Elite company and my local immigration office.
Quick question, I am based in Sathon, Bangkok and need to do my 90-day report. I know the main Immigration Office is at Chaeng Watthana rd, but I’m wondering if there’s anywhere closer for us in central Bangkok?
How I can request a residence certificate in Thailand (commonly used for visa, driving license, or banking purposes), along with the documents required, steps, and how long it takes?
