Most schools take care of your ED visa. But it takes some time for the paperwork with the ministry of education. And they asked for 12 photos or something like that 😂
Just follow the signs to baggage claim. They won’t let you exit the airport without asking for your passport and stamp the arrival date ( that’s what the exempt is, just a stamp with a date that tells you when you have to leave. If you extend, you’ll get another date stamp. Don’t follow the sign "visa on arrival" if you’re country is eligible to visa exempt. But after you get your stamp, check if the date is correct. Mistakes happen but problems with immigration is not what you want 😱
And also make sure that the bank branch where you opened your account updates it. I had a lot of headache because my passports expired since i opened it in isaan years ago. Not living there anymore. Luckily a lovely employee of a local branch could tell them to do it that i didn’t have to visit this town 😂
If they say it’s too heavy, they’ll direct you to check-in. This will be significantly more expensive than booking extra kilos in advance. That’s how low cost airlines make money. They never cared about my shoulder bag which also contains phone, passport and wallet. But my carry-on has medicine in it and i printed a label that says prescription medicine inside.
Every provider worldwide throttles after a certain amount of data usage ( they say unlimited data, but it becomes barely usable after X GB. The attached screenshot is with dtac in Bangkok. Slower than in Europe, but still good enough for me. They asked me for a work permit, too. I offered to pay by automatic card payment which they accepted. Guess they just want proof that you have a regular income to pay your bills. Otherwise you’ll be stuck on prepaid. I didn’t like prepaid especially when i ran out of data when trying to check into places with that thaichana covid app. Allowing me to check in and "protect people by allowing me easy contact tracing showed them my good intentions 555
