TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the experiences of travelers arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport, specifically regarding the use of the Thai passport lane for those with a Thai spouse. Several users confirm that having a Thai wife allows them to use the express lane for arrivals, provided she is present. There are discussions about the advantages of being in a relationship with a Thai citizen for easing airport wait times, tips on senior citizen lines, and general travel advice concerning the current airport conditions.

That's crazy I thought it was off season 😳!!!
Paul *******
Are they still making those stupid mask announcements that every other airport in the entire world has stopped doing since they dropped mask mandates?

Or go business class......
Paul ************
Does she have to be with you to go fast lane??
Paul *******
@Paul ***********
No, your wife has to be present. Otherwise, with children (not sure what the cut off age is, but they seem flexible) you can use the family lane, which is arguably even faster.
Graham ******
@Paul ***********
yes, you use the Thai lanes
Paul ************
@Graham *****
thanks..marriage certificate good enough as proof I take it without her being there?
Graham ******
@Paul ***********
never heard that one, good luck

It's one of the most visited cities in the world, why are people surprised that there are lines during the busiest time of day??? The other 16 hours of the day it takes maybe 15 minutes tops.
Jason ******
I dont understand if you have a thai wife you don’t have to wait in the foreigner section anymore??? Also can we use the automatic kiosk too?
Paul *******
@Jason *****
No, only if your wife is present can the Thai lane be used OR if you hold an express pass, then you can also use those lanes.
Jason ******
@Paul ******
thank you for the information!
Paul *******
@Jason *****
Only for Thai, Singapore and Hong Kong passport holders arriving on 30 day visa waivers and any nationality provided you hold permanent residency.
William *******
@Jason *****
I have been doing it for years.
Jason ******
@William ******
may i ask if you can use the automatic kiosk?
William *******
@Jason *****
Not certain.
Brandon ************
@Jason *****
no, that's only for Thai passports. But the express lane and Thai citizen lane are next to each other so they let you go there with your Thai spouse and use the express lane.
Bernie ********
@Brandon ***********
great news never knew that 👍
Jason ******
@Brandon ***********
gotcha, one more question can i use the express lane even though my thai wife isnt present? Or does she have to be there in line next to me in order to be able to use it?
Brandon ************
@Jason *****
you must arrive with the Thai person and go together.
****
You also have a sick buffalo 🦬 that needs medicine

I go down the priority senior citizens line. I never wait
Alain ***************
Never wait 😂
Anita ******
Mikkel *******
@Alain **************
true. But then again those requiring a wheelchair often gets to be the very last to depart the aircraft. First in, last out. Unless you need the chair I don't think it's a viable hack for regular travelers 😂🙏
Alain ***************
@Mikkel ******
yeah. But even back when i was a walking person, i left planes as the past pax because i let the ones fight for being first to exit. Eco class people start running as soon as the plane hits the runway 😂
Mikkel *******
@Alain **************
also true. It's like people actually like to stand pressed up against each other waiting for 5-10 minutes 😂
Mark ********
@Mikkel ******
hahaa and you see them again at the baggage carousel. But you get your bags before them 😂
CheeThai *******
sorry to ask. If u have a Thai wife with non O visa u can skip this normal counter and go to the thai passport counter ?
Steve **********
@CheeThai ******

Ryan ****
@CheeThai ******
I only travel on a visa exemption and have had no issues using the Thai lanes at BKK for arrivals and departures with my Thai wife.
CheeThai *******
@Ryan ***
got it thx for the advice. I’m currently with non O visa.

@CheeThai ******
You don't need a wife. A girlfriend will do
Chris ***********
@Roberto ********

Last time we flew back from Japan in Biz the Thai line was shorter that that line, do whatever works best
Chris ***********
@CheeThai ******
as long as she is with you at bkk 80 percent yes, dmk not so much
CheeThai *******
@Chris **********
damn. I always queue separately. This only applicable for arrival ?
Brandon ************
Mike *********
Advantages of being a senior citizen. Fast line
Paul *******
@Owen **********
I didn't know that either. It's probably 70 or 75 and above (if it exists).
Mike *********
@Paul ******
yes. 70 I think. They are not picky. If you look Senior. Same line as for handicapped people
Owen ***********
@Mike ********
is there a desk for senior citizens as I didn't know this. Is it 60 and above
Matthias *********
Lucky nobody reminded you that taking pictures in that area is forbidden.
Ken ********

One more great reason to get LTR visa.
John **********
@Todd ********
what's a LTR
Todd *********
@John *********
a 10 years Long Term Residency Visa that allows holders to use FastTrack at all Thai airports
John **********
@Todd ********
really Todd how much is that
Todd *********
@John *********
50k baht for 10 years. Unlimited entry. FastTrack at airport. No 90 day reporting. No more visits to the bank or immigration
Colin *********
Todd McGowan there is a lot more to the LTR than just a cost OF 50k Baht though, isn't there? It's not for example, the average, or below average income retiree, is it? You need to have a significant income or bank balance, or both.
Todd *********
Colin Boyland that’s why the link is added….

Is there ‘a lot more to it’? No. If you have the income, that’s all you need. Easiest visa in the country. The name ‘LTR Wealthy Pensioner’ is a bit of a giveaway. As is wealthy global citizen.
Sam ********
@Colin ********
yep, from his link there's a set of minimum requirements and you need to meet all of them, not just one, so that means $1m in assets + $80k/yr income, among others. The law firm itself replied to one of the questions: "Yes, you are required to meet all 3 criterias i.e. 1. Own 1M USD asset 2..having income over USD 80,000 for previous 2 years 3. Invest in Thailand equivalent to USD 500,000"
John **********
@Todd ********
really Todd been coming nearly 19 years I have a 17 yearold son and never heard of it I m 68 if you get a chance send me info if not I ll have to dig it out thank you
