No, your wife has to be present. Otherwise, with children (not sure what the cut off age is, but they seem flexible) you can use the family lane, which is arguably even faster.

We are flying on aug 23 from Luang Prabang to Don muang Arriving about the same time 4 PM… Anybody know if customs there has same long lines? I have no Thai wife ......but sometimes I can be patient and do kagels in line

No, only if your wife is present can the Thai lane be used OR if you hold an express pass, then you can also use those lanes.

Only for Thai, Singapore and Hong Kong passport holders arriving on 30 day visa waivers and any nationality provided you hold permanent residency.

 no, that's only for Thai passports. But the express lane and Thai citizen lane are next to each other so they let you go there with your Thai spouse and use the express lane.

 true. But then again those requiring a wheelchair often gets to be the very last to depart the aircraft. First in, last out. Unless you need the chair I don't think it's a viable hack for regular travelers 😂🙏

 yeah. But even back when i was a walking person, i left planes as the past pax because i let the ones fight for being first to exit. Eco class people start running as soon as the plane hits the runway 😂

Todd McGowan there is a lot more to the LTR than just a cost OF 50k Baht though, isn't there? It's not for example, the average, or below average income retiree, is it? You need to have a significant income or bank balance, or both.

Is there ‘a lot more to it’? No. If you have the income, that’s all you need. Easiest visa in the country. The name ‘LTR Wealthy Pensioner’ is a bit of a giveaway. As is wealthy global citizen.

 yep, from his link there's a set of minimum requirements and you need to meet all of them, not just one, so that means $1m in assets + $80k/yr income, among others. The law firm itself replied to one of the questions: "Yes, you are required to meet all 3 criterias i.e. 1. Own 1M USD asset 2..having income over USD 80,000 for previous 2 years 3. Invest in Thailand equivalent to USD 500,000"
