 I do not have enough in a regular bank account, but a sub account (TERM DEPOSIT), or here in Canada we call it a CD (certificate of deposit), I have a large amount of money, this is cashable, so hoping this will be OK??

Yes I’ve done it for 25 years no issues, but the airline might ask for a return ticket, that’s where the problem can arise , then you buy a throwaway ticket onwardticket.com
