I entered for the first time on my dtv soft power, cooking classes. I was questioned but it was pretty reasonable and was not asked to show any documents.

She asked if I was a chef, I said no and just that I love thai food.

I do wonder if it'll be like this every time I come back in.

I actually do love to cook and I am prepared to keep taking these throughout!

Hey, I already used the search function to look for "cooking" schools, and I keep seeing Arun Thai come up, but it appears to be in BKK. Does anyone know of a cooking school that is DTV certifiable in Chiang Mai?

Does anyone know if there are any Thai Cooking Classes in Pattaya that would qualify for the DTV.

I'm currently in Chiang Mai on a tourist visa. I would like to get DVT (soft power) as I'm retired but not yet quite old enough to get retirement visa. What is the best (i.e. easiest/cheapest) option for soft power documentation (Thai language, Muay Thai, etc) and which neighboring country Thai consulate is the easiest to deal with for DTV applications. Hello everyone, I have a question relating to DTV visa. One of the possibilities to get this Visa is a participation on a soft power activities ,

such as Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking classes, sports training, medical treatment, seminars or music festivals.

My question is:

what is a participation on medical treatment? Does this mean you get the medical treatment or you learn that medical treatment?

I am confused because in all other activities like Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking classes, sports training you will act as a learner.

Hey everyone, I want to share my DTV process

Soft Power ( for Me-Muy Thai) gym in Bkk

(My partner-Thai cooking classes)

No agent needed

My partner and I applied at HCMC on Jan 29 with a return ticket to Thailand on Feb 10 😳 We didn’t realize that offices would be closed for the Lunar New Year Holiday and would reopen on Feb 3.

This posed an obvious issue

1. When applying for a Vietnam Visa we used our flight dates expecting to leave on the 10th.

After reading comments in the group, we accepted the fact that a possible delay would cause us to extend our visas in Vietnam and possibly purchase additional flights back to Thailand at a later date.

We remained hopeful and watched our status daily.

Timeline:

Jan 29th -Applications submitted

Feb 5th - I was approved at 2:50pm with no request for additional documents

However my partner needed to submit additional documents (6 months of bank statements, which was already submitted originally) sometimes this happens, just resubmit

Documents re-submitted same day

After submitting additional statements

Feb 6th- my partner receive “pending approval“ then later approved

This process took 3 business days! 🙌🏾

I applied for soft power. Do they ask for a proof of cooking class every half year wherever I enter the country?

Any indication of courses on CHIANG MAI to take, that allow to apply for Visa? (Thai Massage / Culinary / Idioms / Tech)?

How much did you guys pay for your cooking course to apply for the DTV ?

I came across an ad earlier that charges ard 9000 THB over a 5-year course with only 1 lesson Per mth - over a zoom seminar

.... I wonder if this type will get approved 🤔 ?

This 5-yr deal seems pretty good as the applicant do not have to re-sign up for another course everytime we need to renew for another 180 days

Anyone tried to apply with something like this and got your approval for the DTV ?

Hi guys. I am in Pattaya. I want to apply dtv visa, by taking cooking classes. Anyone knows an approved governmental agency, not too expensive, in order to be sure to be accepted? I intend to leave Thailand and go to Cambodia do the visa. Thanks.
