I received my DTV Visa today from the Vancouver Thai consulate, very helpful office and friendly staff!!! I immediately applied for my wife under my DTV Visa. I am just wondering if we are supposed to print the Visa out (hard copy), or use a cell phone or email digital copy at the BKK Airport? For those that are wondering, I originally applied as a remote worker (digital nomad), but that was declined, it was most likely my fault, but the consulate was very helpful and changed my category to "Soft Power", since I already had a dentist in Hua Hin, and need a lot of work done, I just got them to send me a letter stating my dental work needed, I already have a relationship with the dentist, so it was very straight forward, then everything was approved easily, now I am waiting for my wife's DTV Visa to be approved, I submitted our marriage certificate, bank account information in my wife's name, wife's passport bio data page, recent photo, and proof of Canadian address. This group has been very helpful, I hope I can help some of you here by sharing , any questions, just ask

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their successful experience obtaining a DTV Visa from the Vancouver Thai consulate and inquired whether they should print a hard copy of the visa or use a digital version at Bangkok Airport. Many community members advised printing the visa, as it facilitates easier processing at immigration. They noted that having a printed copy reduces complications, especially in case of network issues. The user also highlighted the supportive staff at the consulate and the documentation submitted for their wife's visa application.

Congratulations and well done. Did you get any clear answers on what you did wrong in your initial work application? This could be useful to know for the rest of the group

Print it on paper to hand over for the immigration officer to see. They will hand it back to you when they are finished. I just entered TH yesterday on the DTV. They didn't ask for anything else.

Glad it worked out! Did they charge you the fee again or just switch? Vancouver was awesome for us.

We always have a printed copy and hand it over with the passport and boarding pass. It even says on the e-visa document to print a copy for immigration. Probably up to the officer but considering how many people go through in a day, I can see paper being easier and faster, plus then they wouldn't have to handle random people's phone.

No they did not charge me a new fee, just switched to "soft power activities". Print off Visa sounds like a good idea

I'm still confused why your workcation application wasn't approved. Did your employment letter state you were working remotely or not

Good idea to print several copies of the visa incase of net access problems at the airport. Thanks for the useful info
