I just submitted application for DTV Visa in Vancouver Canada consulate, called to make sure I had all the right documents, including a letter I wrote explaining all my business activities, the person on the phone said it was OK to write your own letter explaining all your business activities and that my business was online/digitally, he also said it would not take longer than 2 weeks, others here have said it took 2 business days, so after I get my DTV I can apply for my wifes, with her banking information and our marriage certificate, hoping all goes well

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has applied for a DTV Visa at the Vancouver consulate and received confirmation that their documentation, including a personal letter detailing their online business activities, is acceptable. They were informed that the processing timeframe should not exceed two weeks, with some reports suggesting it could be as quick as two business days. The user plans to apply for their wife's visa subsequently, utilizing their banking details and marriage certificate.

That YVR consulate is very easily accessible by the way, it’s located in a street unit at the Sheraton Wall Center (I own a condo unit upstairs ). More like a fancy business- office than what you would expect from a consulate.

correct the applications have to be lodged online now. But I see people popping in there all the time just in case you have a question. The hours are limited though.
