Hey everyone!

I'm about to apply to get my DTV, but am unsure of the following:

I hold 2 nationalities: a Latin American one and a European one.

All of my funds are in my native (Latin American) currency, thus showing my tax information, address, etc. of my home country. However, I consider the European passport to make a stronger impression and would get approved (hopefully) faster, but this is solely a belief, as I have no evidence.

The problem with applying with the Euro passport is that it would mismatch the currency, tax info, address, and others, so I'm quite unsure as to with which nationality to use.

Has anyone had any experience with this? What are your thoughts and recs?

Thanks in advance!

This might be a silly question but last year my thai wife bought a house in BKK and we are planning on staying there in June. Does she need to do a TM30 for me? Also if she uses her UK passport to enter, do we both need to do the TM30? TIA

Just a heads up for anybody that has dual Thai / British Nationality. My daughter tried to renew her British Passport, the UK passport office now require a copy of any other nationality

passports you may hold. My daughters Thai passport didn't show her middle name so the UK passport office wouldn't renew her British passport until it was sorted out. If anyone has dual Thai/ British nationality make sure both passports show the same name before you try to renew the British one.

Hi everyone!

Maybe some of you had the same experience:

1. I have 2 passports. Number one is going to expire in 4,5 years. Number two is for 10 years and absolutely new without any visas and stamps.

Can I use the new one, but provide stamp that I'm in Vietnam from the old one?

2. I had student visa which wasn't closed properly. It just expired and I did border run, so no re entries. Would it be a problem?

The father is an EU member national, and his daughter holds dual nationality (Thai/EU nationality). If applying for the NON O guardian visa based on a Thai child is not an option, the alternative would be the NON O guardian visa based on a non Thai child, that is, through her ED visa as a student at an international school, with the father attached to her visa as her guardian.

My question is: would the father be eligible to pursue this second option?

For instance, by submitting the child’s EU birth certificate and her EU passport at the local immigration for the extension?

Please note, I am not seeking advice on the first option (guardian of a Thai child), so I kindly ask that responses focus solely on the alternative route.

Additional context:

• The child is 10 years old

• She was born in Thailand

• She holds both Thai and EU passports

I do bear in mind that, different immigration offices exercise discretion differently.

Thank you in advance for your input and for sharing any similar experiences.
