I had changed my Non B visa to Non-O( retirement) few years ago in Thailand. Which got expired last year as I am not in Thailand due to COVID-19. I will apply now in Thai Embassy. But confused in Non O or Non O-A. Which is recommended and what is the difference? Thanks

Non- O based on retirement:

- Less cost then a Non-OA (2K THB in local currency vs. 5K THB in local currency)

- SOME consulates do not require health insurance (besides the COVID-19 insurance required for the Certificate of Entry). Discussions of the Certificate of Entry is outside the group's scope.

- The visa is good for 3 months

- The visa is singe entry

- On entry, you can stay for 90 days.

Non-OA Visa:

- Costs 5K THB in local currency

- Requires health insurance and the COVID-19 insurance for the length of your stay

- The visa is good for one year

- The visa is multiple entry

- On each entry, you can stay for one year.

What do we recommend? Depends on your situation. IF you already have the 800K THB in a Thai bank account, get a single entry Non-O visa and then get a one year extension of stay based on retirement.
