TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the ease of transitioning from a Non-B visa or a Tourist visa to a Non-O visa. It highlights that a Non-O visa is accessible under certain conditions, such as marriage to a Thai national or having a Thai child, which requires meeting specific financial criteria. One commenter notes that switching from Non-B to Non-O is not allowed, emphasizing the requirement to meet the criteria for obtaining a Non-O visa.

Then you could get a Non-O visa based on marriage or on supporting a half thai child. You would have to meet the financial requirements to get a yearly extension of stay for either of those reasons.

You can hold a work permit on a Non-O visa based on marriage or raising kids. Just go to a thai consulate in a nearby country and get a 90 day Non-O visa.

Len Manuel Arsenue I am sure if you post it here your question will be answered, as all of mine have. I also took the same approach here a while ago and posted a variation of the OP’s original question.. and was advised by admin to create my own post. I did and I got my answer, I hope you get yours. Good luck πŸ˜‰

You cannot switch the category of visa from Non-B to Non-O :/

What is the reason you'd qualify for a Non-O visa?
