TLDR : Answer Summary
The Non-O visa is generally for visiting family or retired persons. If you have a Non B visa and work permit, your mother can apply for the Non-O-A visa for retirement from the Thai consulate in Italy. It is advisable for her to check the requirements directly with the Thai Embassy or consulate in her country, as they will provide the most accurate information. If she is in Thailand, local immigration should be consulted.

and we are done,
@Sara *******
, your mom applies for a Non-O-A visa from the thai consulate in italy.

Sadly at this time we are not allowing posts from people outside the country asking what to do to get in to thailand>

First...where are you and where is your mother?

What visa are you now on?

What visa is mother now on?

If you are inside Thailand...

Ask local Thai immigration your options.

If your mother is outside Thailand have her ask the Thai Embassy in her country.

If she has already asked...

The answer is probably correct.

The only visa available to her to travel to Thailand is the O-A for retirement.

Ok, thank you, when we spoke to them they look to haven't any idea what we're talking about, but in this case the visa should be a non O, right?

Thank you for the answer, I'm in Thailand, I extended my non-b visa at local immigration. My mum is in Italy, no visa at the moment...

@Sara *******
then my answer is correct as written.

You visit Thai immigration...and your mother contact the Thai Embassy in Rome.

Your mother must have her own visa.
