Does Hua Hin Immigration accept black and white bank statements printed from the Bangkok Bank app for Non-O retirement extensions?

For annual Non-O retirement extensions at CW, does immigration accept the black & white printed version of the 12 month bank statement requested for free via the Bangkok Bank app and sent to your email? Or does one need the 12 month bank statement on original blue letterhead requested at a Bangkok Bank branch for Baht 200 which takes a week to process? Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Expatriates seeking annual Non-O retirement extensions at Hua Hin Immigration are uncertain whether a black and white printed bank statement obtained from the Bangkok Bank app will be accepted, or if they must obtain the original statement on blue letterhead for a fee. Community feedback indicates mixed experiences, with some noting that app printouts may be accepted at certain offices, while others stress the importance of ensuring compliance by acquiring the official printed statements to avoid issues.

Thanks everyone for your input. This is one of the reasons I was asking as it seemed there were reports that CW accepted the app statement version which is convenient. I have also been in a situation where I ordered the 12 month statement but the branch forgot to submit the request to the head office so when I showed up a week later no statement was ready which messed up my plans a bit (especially if you book an appointment as the slots fill up well in advance). Had to wait another week. Will plan to keep ordering the original version to be safe. Thank you.

couple of points. If you request the 12nl month statement via the app it only gives the current month plus the 11 prior months which may not reach back to your previous extension, the guy who posted that he was using it successfully was using monthly income for his extension so it was easy for him to see that it covered 12 months of monthly transfers. You can also, when you order the statements directly from your Bangkok Bank branch, ask them to email them to you. This way you can determine the dates they generate the statements for and they arrive the following day

Thanks for the info. I did not know this. So the head office will email you the statements, then you can print a color version with the Bangkok Bank blue letterhead? Is that correct?

sincerely good luck with it, What you could do is download and print the 12 month statement from your mobile app, AND order the 12 month detail transaction report from the bank too.

THEN

when you go to get your extension give them the printed one you downloaded but hold the bank printed one back.

See if it goes thru

OR

if they say you need the bank one and if they do say that just pull it out and use it ๐Ÿ˜›

That's a fool proof way to find out IF it'll work or not AND it won't run you off the rails if they do require the bank printed one

I'd say just order the year detail transaction report from your bank (the one they print on paper that has the tear off tabs) rather than download/print your own

If they DON'T accept it (and not all do) you're stuck.

Just order it, have them print it out for you and stamp it. You can order it early and then just pick it up when you pick up the bank letter <- or that's what I'd do

please believe I am not saying someone didn't post that they used the mobile app downloaded print out to get their extension OR that it didn't work for them.

I'm only asking WHY risk it?

@Max ************
you didn't mention which method you are using, but apart from that, you will need the bank letter and a 12 months statement for both methods.
Tod *********
@Max ************
you still DO need the bank letter even if you are using monthly income method, because that bank letter shows the balance on the account the day you got the letter

whether you use banked money method OR monthly income method you need THREE things from the bank

A year transaction detail report

the 'standard' bank letter

update your bank book the date you apply for the extension

There was a guy here a few days ago saying that the print--out from Bangkok Bank is accepted at CW.

Why risk rejection when you can order the transaction report from the bank and know 100% that it will be accepted?
Max *************
@Goodd ******
Because this guy used the print-out from Bangkok Bank at CW. I didn't buy it at first but he was adamant it was accepted. That's why.

@Max ************
also, you will need a bank document to prove your sole ownership of the account anyway. You can't get that online.

@Max ************
then why ask the question, just take the risk. In my experience they will NOT accept it at CW. It might depend on the mood of the officer in front of you.
