Good day!* We are planning to travel to Thailand for about 2months every year. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 toddlers) we are digital nomads and will be doing online teaching during our holiday. Will the DTV visa be best for us? Feels like a big hassle for 2 months😅 We are South Africans!*
I'm from New Delhi, India. Have been to Thailand for more than 7 times and I just love Thailand. I want to stay in Thailand for longer and planning to apply for DTV visa. I got money equivalent to much more then the needed money in my account but most of the money is in Fixed deposits. I do stock trading and online teaching. Should I apply for DTV in New Delhi on my own or should I do it through an agency in Thailand ? Will it be okay if I have money in fixed deposits? I would really appreciate if someone could answer my questions.
Can I put 2 sources of income stream on application? I work remotely for a UK based company for 3 years now, but the contract only states zero hr contract and casual worker. I also work on an online teaching site as a freelancer, don't really earn anything but does show I have some income. I was wondering if I could, or should show both. I have payslips for the zero hr contract work, and a profile and earnings spreadsheet generated by online platform job.
Hi. Im trying to make sense of this DTV and Im constantly coming up with more questions the more I read!!!!
1) Is the 10.000 baht fee the full cost of the visa? (Without using an agent)
2) If accepted, do you only need to complete the first 6 months of the activity in the whole 5 years?
3) If accepted, are you required to leave EVERY 180 days and if so, how long do you need to be outside Thailand for and when you return, do you get another 180 day stamp?
4) Is teaching online accepted?
I am over 50 and would qualify for the Non-O retirement visa but I want to continue receiving an income rather than just watch my own bank account reduce as I age! You cannot jump from a retirement visa and then start working or at least that is what I was advised but that was over 5 years ago
Online teaching supplies me with enough to live on easily in Thailand so I would much prefer to take this route if I am eligible.
Hi! I work for a German online teaching company and want to apply for DTV - has anyone successfully received their DTV through online teaching with a company 🙂? Do you have advice? Are invoices enough or should I collect reviews from students/ ask for a contract from the company? 🙏
As an online teacher working with a platform, could you please clarify what specific documents or evidence I need to provide to demonstrate my employment status for the Digital Nomad Visa application? Would a certificate or statement from the platform confirming my work and income be sufficient?
Question to UK teachers in the group (if there are any....), or international teachers if there aren't.
Have any of you had success gaining a DTV working as an online teacher of English using a TEFL qualification through a UK based teaching agency?
Asking because that's one of the options for my wife and I in a couple of years once I retire from primary school teaching here in the UK, as the security deposit is lower than the retirement visa, and the DTV gives me options to top up the pension with a bit of income.
