I asked the Thai embassy last week and the lady was very friendly and helpful but she immediately pointed out that nowadays the rules became stricter and that most online marketplace teachers on sites like Preply, Italki etc. get refused unless they can show a contract, which explicitely states that you only teach outside of Thailand (for example a freelance agreement or contract with the platform stating that you only teach within Europe or similar), as otherwise they might see it as potentially leaving the door open to teach students online, who are based in Thailand. To be honest I was very surprised about this. She told me to send in any kind of contract I can that indicates that I'm not teaching students in Thailand, before applying officially, to make sure I won't waste the 300 USD. As far as I know sites like Preply don't provide any kind of contracts, anyone with similar experience? Would it be a good idea to link my teacher profile into a pdf file for example where it states that I only teach in Europe (all my students are in fact in Europe only)?
