I just got my email from The Thai embassy in Los Angeles and I have been approved for my Non-O marriage visa! I want to thank everyone on this page who helped me with a huge shout out to Brandon Thurkettle! Every single thing he said here has proven to be totally accurate. He was the one who first told me the Non-O marriage would best suit me. So it’s a huge relief to have that out of the way, now we are on the clock. We will be in Thailand by the end of May at the latest and then it’s time to stress out over building our new house! 😎🤪😎🙏🙏🙏🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭. Thanks again everyone and maybe we will bump into you at The Monkey Bar in Korat. Brandon I will definitely buy you some drinks!

At the embassy in Hanoi this morning the woman at the counter said I have been in Thailand a long time, and my visa will have to be approved by her boss and I’ll need to come back tomorrow.

I’m aware this is standard procedure - could she be trying to scare me? I know there’s a risk I won’t get the visa either.

If I don’t, can I try to fly into CNX and get a 30 day exempt if I have a denied visa or will I be denied without question?

UPDATE: got the visa :)
