Hi everyone 👋

I’ve almost finished preparing my application for the DTV (Workation) visa for Thailand at the consulate/embassy in Ho Chi Minh City, but I still have one question to be sure.

👉 I have a personal Revolut account with more than 500,000 THB on it, so I can meet the required funds.

👉 However, all my invoices/services (European clients) are paid into my business account, which is not the Revolut account.

My questions are:

1. to make the file more consistent, would you recommend submitting both the Revolut statement (to show the 500,000+ THB) and the business account statement (which matches the invoices)?

2. and for those who have already applied in Ho Chi Minh City, did you present everything on one single PDF page?

👉 for example: invoice on the left, and on the right the corresponding transaction on the business account (so the officer can match it right away) — does that work or do they prefer separate documents?

If anyone has done it with a personal account for the funds and a separate business account for the activity, I’d really appreciate your feedback 🙏

Thanks!

Hello guys I wanted to share my experience applying for the workation DTV in Jakarta.

Timeline:

Arrived in Jakarta on 20.October 25

6 am and immediately applied online. And payed around 11-12k THB but in IDR.

30.October 25: Status changes from document check pending to pending approval.

Maybe 5 hours later it changed to approved am I got the email.

Documents used:

Proof of funds:

Bank statements from Revolut showing 13.5k in EUR which is a little more than 500k THB for 4 months (think 3 really is enough but I did it for 4 months just to be save)

Proof of location:

I prepared a pdf with following things:

- screenshot of flight booking

- screenshot of hotel booking

- Picture of boarding pass

- Picture of visa on arrival + passport (you have to pay the visa on arrival on a separate booth before the immigration. If you show the visa to the officers you will get a stamp in the passport if you use the machines no stamp but you still have the slip from visa on arrival)

- Picture of a slip from a purchase at the airport and my ID on the same picture.

Portfolio:

- Cover letter explaining why I want to do workation why Thailand all data of company like tax registration no. How long its registered name of website.

- Screenshots of my website with the services I offer

- CV

You only can upload one PDF for portfolio so I put all in one file and converted it to PDF.

I hope that helps a little bit after reading so many bad news

Hello, I'm about to apply under the workation category. I'm wondering if the letter from the company stating that I'm allowed to work remotely from Thailand must be signed digitally or printed, signed by hand, and then scanned. Does anyone have any references for this? Thank you.

Hello, we are a family of 4 preparing to apply for a workation DTV through the Los Angeles consulate.

My husband and I jointly own our companies together as 50/50 partners. We are both employees of the companies. It seems like when submitting the application, it needs to be from one applicant and couples are not applying jointly together.

I'm wondering how to navigate this application process.

1. I could apply first, then the rest of the family can apply and I'll sponsor them.

2. My husband and I could both send in our applications at a similar time.

What would be the pros and cons to each?

Los Angeles consulate seems to have a high rate of rejections, which is why I thought perhaps we could send in 1 application first, then the rest of the family can become dependents.

Another question is: How should we navigate the fact that the business and all of our accounts have both our names listed on them, as opposed to just my own? Will he need to write a letter or something? What should that letter say?

Thank you so much for your insight!

Hello all, I am planning to apply for the workation DTV in Hong Kong. I have the 500K in the bank and a remote work contact. However, I mostly get paid via Wise and Alipay for my remote job. Can I just show screenshots of the transactions of those apps for my proof of income? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I am going to apply this week for workation,

Brazil passport, work from US.

About the company that I work I made a PDF document with only the recommendation letter from them saying they allow me to work remote from thailand with boss eletronic sign from US, document about company registration in US with my boss name, and screenshot company social media.

I dont have any contract but I work for them 3 years already.

Is this enough?

I’m delighted to announce that I am now part of the DTV visa holders’ family! 🎉

First of all, I’d like to thank this group, which has been an invaluable source of help throughout the process.

Now it’s my turn to share my experience, especially for French applicants who are considering submitting their application at the Thai Embassy in Paris.

I submitted my application on September 5, 2025, under the *workation* category, as a freelance language teacher working exclusively online through platforms like Preply and Italki. Ten days later, I received a call from the embassy requesting a few additional documents, which I sent immediately. One week later, on September 24, I finally received the precious visa.

All in all, the wait was just under three weeks.

Good luck to all of you!

If you have any questions about the required documents, feel free to reach out. In principle, simply following the instructions provided on the website of the Thai Embassy in Paris should be enough for everything to go smoothly.
