On my way to the LOS with my Soft Power DTV on a single ticket! Emirates wanted to see the Visa as it was a single ticket and surprised that it’s a 5 year expiry date! For info the sport I used to get the Visa is not on any list but I am going to be training in Thailand for months at a time. I needed a letter from the general manager of the sports club … and a copy of his passport along with my sporting CV. Granted in London in 5 days. It was a £300 gamble but I emailed the embassy first to ask if it was acceptable and they said apply. Very happy!

Am currently in Samui on a 2 month tourist visa. My intention is to extend this for another 30 days but I’d heard it is possible to apply for a 90 day tourist visa while I’m here? I heard something but not quite sure if I’ve misheard or if I’m asking the right question. Appreciate advice thanks

Greetings everyone! Holding a US Passport, I was approved for my METV (valid for 6 months) I will apply for 3 extensions to extend my visa for an additional 3 months. Question, am I allowed to reapply after for another tourist visa after that? If not, what are my options if I want to stay longer and/or return to Thailand? I’m not interested in applying for a long term visa at this time. Thanks in advance for your advice 🤗

Would like to thank admin for accepting me into the group.

As I am new here I apologise in advance if this question has been asked before.

I am living in Australia as an Australian resident, and recently retired.

Would like to be able to spend six months of the year in Thailand.

What would be the easiest and cheapest Visa to enable this to happen?

Also I am looking at renting a condo for a minimum of six months, do I need to get this before I apply for a Visa?

Hey everyone 🙂

I’m wondering if there’s a max amount of time you can be in Thailand on tourist visa. After 90 days do I need to leave for 180?

Also, with the new year does my tourist visa in Thailand restart if I’m out of the country?

I’m sure this has been asked before,if so could someone link the thread?

Thank you much!

If I am right I can get a tourist visa for 60 days plus 30 day extension. Plus 2 land border runs 30 days plus 30 day extension each. So that is 7 months in total. Is there a way of getting the other 5 months in 1 year to get a full 12 months ie can I do a few air border runs

Just going to drop this info here.

I was in Thailand for 3 months in 2022 September- Mid December - came back in January and since then have done 2 border runs with extensions each time. Now I just flew to vietnam and flew back in the same day to get another 30 day exemption - I was taken to the side office when going through Thailand immigration. They were asking questions and basically said, get a ED visa or a Tourist visa OR ELSE. I told them I had read that the border runs are limited to two times per calendar year, but I thought flying in and out was essentially unlimited. That is not the case.

Anyone else having similar experiences?
