I have a few questions regarding the DTV 'soft power' category.

Does it only apply to Muay Thai and cooking? Or can it also include gym courses, swimming, tennis, or other sports? I’ve also read that some people received the DTV because they are undergoing treatment with a dentist or another doctor.

The second issue: let's say I sign up for Muay Thai and get the visa. What if after a month I decide I don't want to get beaten up anymore and I quit the course?

Hello I am travelling back to thailand with my DTV Muay thai

Should I chose « sports » as a purpose of travel when completing the TDAC? Or another option? Thanks!

Hey, does anyone know what the better option for me is? I’m traveling to Vietnam and want to apply for the DTV visa from there. I’m self-employed / run a business in Germany, so I think I could qualify for that type of visa.

However, I only have 10 days in Vietnam before I want to return to Thailand. Would it be smarter to go with the Sports Visa since it’s faster? Also, what’s the cheapest option that actually works?

Thanks a lot!

Muay Thai - DTV - Pattaya

Hello everyone,

I believe many of you here have successfully applied for the DTV using the soft power route — specifically Muay Thai.

I’m currently looking for a Muay Thai gym in Pattaya that not only has a solid recent track record of supporting DTV 5-year visa applications, but also offers serious training.

If you have any personal recommendations or firsthand experiences, I’d really appreciate your input!

Thanks 🙏

Hi Guys !!! Did anyone apply for the “Muay Thai Soft Power" recently in Cambodia? I heard that many people that tried got their DTV cancelled due of a missing document "Of The Ministry Of Sports” which is impossible to get‼️

I’m currently in Cambodia! If anyone has some news and could share I would be really happy!
