For some context, I'm an American citizen with alien permanent residency status in Taiwan, and I'm interested in enrolling in Chiang Mai University's Education Visa program. I'd like to do this via the Thailand Trade and Economic Office in Taipei. However, I just went to the Thai eVisa website, and it stated that I was not eligible to apply through the eVisa system. Any guidance on what I should do?

Hi. I applied for a DTV (workcation) at Los Angeles consulate on Aug 18th. I have a flight to Bangkok on Saturday Sep 14th and the status of the application is still "pending document check". Is there any risk in me entering under 60 day visa exemption, exiting if/when I have DTV, and re-entering? I appreciate your guidance.

I have about 1 month left on my OA multi-entry retirement VISA extension. I've been here 3 years. I want to switch to an O retirement VISA to avoid the insurance requirement. If I leave the country, without obtaining a re-entry permit, is my VISA automatically canceled when I leave? If I then return to Thailand, after a few days holiday, will I be stamped in as VISA exempt for 30 days so that I can then begin the process of applying for the O retirement VISA within country? I am an American citizen. Are there any other options? Any "gotchas" I need to worry about? Thanks.

FYI for my American peeps.

Effective immediately, the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai is temporarily suspending all consular services until further notice due to staffing shortages. Although we hope to resume consular services soon, consular services in Thailand are currently only available at the U. S. Embassy in Bangkok.

If you are a U.S. citizen in northern Thailand in need of emergency assistance, please call the Bangkok American Citizens Services unit (02-205-4000). If you have an appointment for, or are seeking, routine services, please email acsbkk@state.gov.

For visa assistance and information, please email visasbkk@state.gov.

American citizen.

Needing help with the process of applying and obtaining Non OA retirement Visa from here in the USA

I am about to start my Visa process

November 10th 2021

and hopeing to return to Thailand on December 20th

I have heard conflicting information regarding the Visa process for an o a Visa here in United States

I have heard that it's all done online?

But when I go to the consulate website for Los Angeles it still States you need to mail in the passport?

When trying to reach them by email they just sent a generic link to their requirements which I have already read

(And states you need to mail in the passport)

And they do not answer the phone and they're answering machines will not take messages

Is there anyone on this website

who has

"Successfully"

obtained a non OA Retirement Visa from USA and entered Thailand in the last couple months October or November?

I would appreciate any feedback?

Thank you

Good afternoon. Some months ago I asked a question and everyone was most helpful. I flying to Cambodia for a few days from DM . When I was going through immigration they saw that I over stayed my single entry tourist visa by 1 day. Another immigration officer came over and put in an additional stamp into my passport and signed it . No 500thb fine .

Will I have problems re-entering Thailand later on in the week? I am an American citizen and hope to get the 30 day tourist stamp. I have 20,000 thb on me and proof of onward travel

Do I need a new passport? What is the process in BKK? (I'm American)

My passport has 1 full blank page and 2 half used pages.

My plan is to enter Laos on Jan3 to obtain a Thai TR visa but I now realize that both Laos and Thailand will issue me the full-page sticker style visas. I do have 2 blank "endorsements" pages in the back of my passport.
