I wonder what's the difference between embassies that causes one embassy to decide on an application consistently in 5 days (Hanoi?) while another embassy usually takes 3 weeks. If the rate stays constant, it means the number of decisions completed versus the number of new applications submitted should be similar, so the volume of applicants isn't what is affecting the time? The embassy taking a longer time is maybe adding extra internal steps?

I own and live in a flat in Phuket and have a 5-year DTV visa, but I'm spending this month in Indonesia. I have just arrived in Yogyakarta and straightaway realized that my passport will expire in less than 6 months (5 months and a week) by the time I set to return, which is not a problem for leaving Indonesia, but might present a problem for reentry in the Kingdom, and most countries, really.

I sent an email to my Embassy, which I have to visit anyway to pick up my renewed ID card - a requirement to renew my passport -, and asked for a letter explaining that I'm going to Bangkok on a specific date for the very purpose of renewing my passport.

Is this the right procedure? Has anyone been in a similar situation with a passport under 6 months when they arrived in another country and cannot book a ticket to come back? Thank you.

For folks who applied in Vientiane, Laos for your DTV- where did you pay the 10k baht? Googling address and receiving different addresses. Want to ensure I go to the right place, so I get an interview ASAP. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds ☺️

Best of luck to everyone applying for a DTV!

What is the process for certifying a British passport?

2 years ago I was told to go to the British Embassy. I believe this is no longer possible.

It has to be done by Apostille?

I am in UK at the moment travel to stay with my wife in Udon Thani.

What is the process if in UK, I have differing advice from various sources.

Hi!

Need a visa agent to support me and my VN gf with DTV visas. I'm Lithuanian. Have the needed money on account, just don't want to do it through my embassy in person, as it's in Denmark. I'm in VN now, would be best to solve all here or online. Any options?

Thanks!

Hi! Quick question for those who contacted Hanoi’s thai embassy by email: did you receive an immediate automated response acknowledging reception of your message?

I have contacted other embassies before and I always received an auto reply right after to confirm reception.

That was not the case when I reached out to consular.han@mfa.go.th and thaiembassy.han@mfa.go.th a few days ago. Of course I’m not expecting a quick response to my inquiry, but I’m now wondering if they received my email at all.

Just curious to know your experience (and if you successfully communicate with them by email eventually?).

Thank you!

Hello everyone. Just wanted to say a big thank you to this amazing group and everyone who has shared such helpful information here.

We successfully got our DTV approved through the Soft Power Muay Thai application.

We applied in Hanoi, and the whole process took about a week. To our surprise, we even received the approval email on Sunday.

Really appreciate all the tips and support from this community. Thank you so much!

I am a Bangladeshi applicant currently in the process of obtaining a Thailand Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) via the medical route. However, I am facing difficulties in completing the visa fee payment through the online system. I have attempted multiple times, but the website seems to have technical issues.

I have already reached out to the Royal Thai Embassy in Bangladesh via email and phone, but unfortunately, I have not received a response.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on alternative payment methods or any steps I should take to resolve this issue. If there is any other way to proceed, such as paying through a different platform, bank transfer, or in-person payment, kindly let me know.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
