Hi all. So I'm making a big plan to travel across Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia. I'm pretty sure I'm going to want an eSim. Anyone got any recommendations? Calls and texts are not really needed , the priority is data and lots of it! Ideally with 5G too but that's not essential. Cheers 👍

Hi everyone. I'm coming in Thaïland in 2 days, I got my DTV visa approved. I wanna take a mobile plan (SIM card only) but they ask for a Thai ID number on true.th website.

Since I'm gonna stay for a long time, I'm not sure that's changing my number every month with a tourist SIM card is a good solution.

Do you know if they will also ask for Thai ID number if I go on a true shop directly?

Need help deciding what's the best mobile phone sim and Internet packages generally available for up to three months.

Where I'm staying, with friends, has a landline but no Internet facility, if that might make a difference.

Will also have at least one laptop requiring Internet access.

Are there packages catering to more than one mobile phone number so me and my companion can share data plans etc?

Question about SIM cards. I went to the AIS in the Lotus by On Nut to get a 30 day SIM card. I asked if they had tourist SIM cards and they gave me a Thai local SIM card, which after checking, is much less expensive than a tourist SIM card. They assured me it would work, but I’m not too convinced based on their lack of English. Can anybody clarify if it would work or if I need a “Tourist Sim Card”. I’m putting it a Samsung Note 20 Ultra brought just for that purpose, to use during the day for Bolt, Grab, maps, surfing for info, etc. I’ll use my Verizon 15 Pro Max for WiFi Calling and surfing at the hotel at night. Hello! Arriving on Friday for 3 months. We will probably purchase e-sims at the airport. Do you know if any of the major carriers offer 90 day plans? We are mainly concerned about data and not too much with phone calls. Also, will it work with an Apple watch and is something you need to pay extra for? Thanks!
